Mary Hoefs-WeilerMary Hoefs-Weiler

Taylor County 4-H Volunteer

In Memoriam

Mary started her 4-H involvement as a 4-H parent of five 4-H’ers. Over the years she became more and more involved in all aspects of 4-H. She became general leader of Countrysiders 4-H Club in 2001. She helped the youth in her club and in the community become involved in activities throughout the county. Mary modeled the importance of generosity and community engagement by leading the club in several community service projects like food drives and helping the elderly.

Mary shared her time and talents with the Taylor County 4-H Leaders Federation by serving as treasurer. She was involved in the Taylor County Fair, where she also served as treasurer. She helped organize and run the 4-H food stand along with other numerous activities throughout the fair. She was always available to lend a hand or give a member advice on a project.
