Sandee GrossSandee Gross

Waukesha County 4-H Volunteer

Sandee has been a 4-H leader for 45 years. In 1971 she was one of four people to form a team of organizational leaders to start a new 4-H club, and the Minooka 4-H club was born. She’s been a project leader for block printing and clowning. She loves to help the nine-year-old members fill out their record books for the first time.

Sandee’s been active on the county 4-H Executive Board, serving as President and Treasurer. She has chaired the county promotions, awards, literature, and leadership committees. She’s helped chaperone Waukesha County 4-H summer camp and Wisconsin 4-H & Youth Conference.

Debbie Hoeft, long-time Minooka 4-H leader, says, “I met Sandee in 1993, when our oldest son Douglas was joining the club as a Cloverbud. The next year Sandee recruited me to be the Cloverbud leader of 18 active first and second graders. She was always there for me.”

Sandee has been a sharing, caring volunteer 4-H leader. She helped countless shy youth and molded them into confident new leaders.
