Eileen EberleEileen Eberle

Sauk County 4-H Volunteer

At the age of 83, Eileen still has the passion and drive for “making the best better.” She was a 4-H member in Indiana, so when local youth in her now home of Spring Green asked her to be the club leader, she knew the positive impact it had on youth.

During the 1970’s and 1980’s, the Big Hollow Bears 4-H club, under Eileen’s leadership, was recognized at the state and national level for safety. Eileen challenged each member to achieve; as a result, several members were selected to attend National 4-H Congress as Safety winners. The life lessons she imparted to youth were not only to do your best, but also to be an active part of your community to make it a better place.

In addition to 4-H, she was active in Home and Community Education, was a co-founder of the River Valley School Fair, and has been recognized by the Diocese of Madison and the Wisconsin State legislature for her dedication to educating youth and serving her community.
