Arthur “Art” W. Brehm

Dodge County 4-H Agent

“Invest in Youth” was Art Brehm’s slogan as the Dodge County 4-H and Youth Development Agent from 1954-1982. Innovative and forward thinking describes Art, as he was instrumental in the development of interstate exchanges. He was a pioneer of school programs and partnerships when he brought together local fire departments and UW-Extension 4-H Youth programs to present Fire Safety Programs throughout the county.

Art laid the groundwork for a 4-H donor program in Dodge County, which is present today and promoted partnerships, which helped strengthen the program. This is a prime example of Art’s “Invest in Youth” concept continually at work.

During Art’s career, he encouraged the entire UW-Extension staff to be a valuable part of the 4-H team. Art has been retired for 32 years. He still attends annual 4-H events and supports the Dodge County 4-H Summer Camp program.
