Example Plans

As you move towards developing your own watershed plan, realize you’re not alone in your effort. We’ve collected example plans from around the country that we feel illustrate a good understanding of EPA’s 9 Key Elements. No need to reinvent the wheel as you put your plan together…use these examples as additional guides.

Red Cedar River Watershed Plan

The Department of Natural Resources maintains a list of approved plans.  Some of these were written a number of years ago under the Priority Watershed Program or through lake or river planning programs. The most current approved plans include (link opens a PDF document from the DNR website):
