End of Summer Reflections: Hayley

Hayley Trzinski

Starting as a Naturalist this summer, I knew there would be tons of fun experiences and connections with many people, but what I didn’t know was how deep these connections would go, especially with fellow naturalists, coworkers, and campers. Upham Woods has provided me with a sense of family that I am very grateful for, and I hope that I shared that welcoming spirit to all that spent time at camp here this summer. I was glad to see the enthusiastic faces of all the campers who came to Upham Woods this summer. This made me feel like I was doing a great job as a Naturalist in teaching about the outdoors, and being silly when doing games, campfires, and more. Although some aspects of the job were difficult, demanding, or frustrating at times, I am grateful that the people of Upham Woods have supported me through my journey here this summer. To Upham Woods: Thank you for all of the knowledge and experience you have shared with me. I don’t see the end of summer as a “goodbye”, but an “until I see you again”.
