Hi! I’m joining the Upham team after pedaling my bicycle over 12,000 miles around the perimeter of the country. On my year-long journey I was able to lend my knowledge to people I met along the way, while learning about the varied ecosystems that comprise our country. Not new to environmental education or research, I’ve spent much of my career working with high school-aged participants in back-country settings in the mountains of New Mexico. During this time we focused on labs that hone environmental observation skills and train comparative ecosystem health analysis. I’m excited to be a part of the DOTS program and to see more patterns in the outdoors with the use of technology.
