  • You have some great ideas for your land.  Now is the time to develop a full plan that incorporates your values, takes advantage of your strengths and resources, and identifies possible stumbling blocks ahead.   “Building a Sustainable Business: A Guide to Developing a Business Plan for Farms and Rural Businesses” is a helpful resource that walks you through developing your farm business plan with a set of worksheets and examples.  The guide is available in English and Spanish.  This book, developed by the Minnesota Institute for Sustainable Agriculture, can guide can help you secure financial backing, identify challenges to your business, inventory your resources, and more.
