Farm Beginnings Classes offered in Wisconsin

The Land Stewardship Project’s Farm Beginnings program works to get more successful farmers on the land.   The Farm Beginnings course is a 12 month training that helps beginning farmers clarify their goals and strengths, develop a business plan, and start building their operation.  The course uses a mix of farmer- led classroom sessions, on-farm tours, and an extensive network of farmer mentors.

Farm Beginnings will be offered in 3 locations this fall:  La Crosse, WI; Ashland, WI; and Watertown, MN. Exact dates, times and locations of the 2014 Farm Beginnings courses, as well as the application, are available at  Registrations before August 1 will receive a discount.
