A daylong program for horse owners/enthusiasts will be offered on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014 in Bristol, Wisconsin. This program will focus on keeping your horse healthy.
Session topics presented by Dr. Tracy Busalacchi from Elkhorn Veterinary Clinic include:
— Eye Care for Your Horse
— Internal and External Parasites
— Colic…Causes and What to Do About It
A session on forage and pasture plant identification will focus on hands-on evaluation of plants and hay. Hay quality will also be discussed. This session will be taught by Ellen Philips from the University of Illinois Extension and Peg Reedy, Walworth County University of Wisconsin-Extension.
The program begins at 8:30 a.m. and runs until 3 p.m. Lunch is included with the program fees. Early bird registration fees received on or before Feb. 14 are $25 per person or $45 for two people and $15 per youth. Registration fees increase after the early bird deadline.
