After a long Wisconsin winter, spring is finally in the air, and families are invited to greet the season at Upham Woods Outdoor Learning Center in Wisconsin Dells. From 2:00-5:00 p.m. on April 2, the Spring Explorers program will lead family-friendly adventures around the camp. Spring Explorers, free and open to the public, is just one of many events at Upham Woods designed to bring people closer to nature.

Participants can learn to pick out the signs of spring during a guided hike or stay at camp to learn survival skills like building a shelter, starting a campfire and navigating the woods using orienteering. There will also be a spring scavenger hunt around the camp.

Since 1941, Upham Woods has been a place where people gather to explore and experience the natural world. The camp provides educational opportunities to youth, youth leaders, and adults through programs focused on environmental and leadership education.
