The University of Wisconsin – Madison Meat Science and Muscle Biology Laboratory, in conjunction with the United States Department of Agriculture, Food Safety and Inspection Service, will be hosting The 2017 Wisconsin Food Safety Summit. This seminar will address current topics in food safety featuring speakers from the USDA, FSIS, the meat industry, and from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
The Food Safety Summit opens on Thursday morning with registration starting at 8:00 am. A light continental breakfast, break items, and lunch will be offered throughout the day. The seminar begins promptly at 9:00 am and will wrap-up at 3:45 pm.
Registration Fee: $35 per person
Fee Includes: Course materials, break items refreshments, and lunch.Tuesday evening dinner, refreshments, and shuttle service. Lodging, parking, and other meals are not included.
Pre-registration is required by October 25, 2017. Confirmation of registration and a map will be mailed to participants prior to the school.
Course Location and Parking:
The Wisconsin Food Safety Summit will be held in rooms 325 & 326 of the Pyle Center at the UW-Madison campus. Nearby parking is available in the State Street Campus ramp – 430 N Frances Street/415 N Lake Street at a rate of $1.30/hr.
