2019 CLA Class Registration is open!

Community Leadership Alliance (CLA) is a tri-county leadership development program open to residents of Grant, Iowa, and Lafayette counties. The program is a coalition of UW-Platteville Continuing Education and the Platteville Area Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with UW-Extension Community Resource Development in Grant, Lafayette, and Iowa Counties. CLA’s mission is to develop a base of informed and motivated community-minded leaders. The program consists of six day-long sessions held on the last Wednesday of every month from January to June.

Class size is limited and fills fast, so register soon to secure your spot!  Limited partial scholarships are available.  To register, click on the CLA Class Information tab.

Training includes grant writing, running effective meetings, community organizing, diversity, team building, StrengthsFinder, Real Colors, conflict management and more.

Payment Options for CLA Program

Online Payment Option

Participants are able to register online and submit payment via secured credit card site.  If you have any questions or need assistance, you can call Continuing Education Institute at 608-342-1314 or toll free at 888-281-9472.  They will be happy to assist you with your registration process and can take your credit card payment over a secured telephone line.

Mail-In Payment Procedure

Please print and use the registration confirmation letter that the participant would have received after registration as an invoice.  If you selected the “mail in” payment option, please submit payment within 3 days.  Please make checks payable to University of Wisconsin-Platteville and include a printed copy of your CLA registration confirmation email.  Please write “2019 CLA Registration” in the memo area of your check.
