4-H Scholarships

Below are some of the many scholarships available to Kewaunee County 4-H members. Most of the scholarships are open to current 4-H members in grades 12 or 13 (one year past high school). Please note that the scholarship opportunities will be listed below as they become available. Application deadlines may vary.

In addition to the scholarships that are available on a county level, there are state-level scholarships awarded through the 4-H Foundation. Please see below – note that the deadline to submit for the state-level scholarships is typically earlier than the county scholarships are due.


WI State 4-H Scholarship Opportunities:

State 4-H Scholarships
Statewide 4-H scholarships are awarded to 4-H members throughout the state by the WI 4-H Foundation. They are open to 4-H members in grades 12 and 13 as well as recent 4-H graduates. There are multiple scholarships awarded for various projects and leadership roles. The Wisconsin 4-H Foundation will award more than $10,000 in scholarships to outstanding Wisconsin students pursuing higher education.


Kewaunee County 4-H Scholarship Opportunities:

Adult Leader’s Association Scholarship

All approved, Kewaunee County 4-H members in good standing at the time of application may apply. You must be in grades 12 or 13. Applications must be submitted as PDF documents, or typed and submitted as a hardcopy. One or two, $500.00 scholarship(s) may be awarded each year. You can only receive this scholarship once. The deadline to turn in this scholarship application is Friday, August 2, 2024.


Teen Association Scholarship

All approved, Kewaunee County 4-H members in good standing at the time of application may apply. You must be in grades 12 or 13. Applications must be submitted as PDF documents, or typed and submitted as a hardcopy. One, $500 scholarship may be awarded each year. Exceptions based on applicant pool and available funds may be made by a Teen Association vote. You can only receive this scholarship once. The deadline to turn in this scholarship application is April 20. 2024.


Jack Bancroft and Gary Smith Memorial Scholarship

The Gary Smith and Jack Bancroft Memorial Scholarship honors the memory of these two adult leaders who gave so much of their time and energy to improving the small animal projects in Kewaunee County. This scholarship not only honors Gary and Jack, but all of our project leaders who have invested in Kewaunee County youth through the years, building vibrant small animal projects– and 4-H youth–of whom the county can be proud. All approved, Kewaunee County 4-H Poultry and/or Rabbit Project members in good standing may apply. You must be in grades 12 or 13. Applications must be submitted as PDF documents, or typed and submitted as a hardcopy. The deadline to turn in this scholarship is Friday, August 2, 2024.


Kewaunee County 4-H Auction Scholarship

Kewaunee County 4-H Auction Scholarship: This scholarship opportunity is open to Kewaunee County 4-H members and/or FFA members in grades 12 or 13 who have sold at the Kewaunee County Fair Auction for a minimum of two years. The deadline to turn in this scholarship application is August 2nd, 2024


Kewaunee County 4-H Horse Project Scholarship

Kewaunee County 4-H members that are in grades 12-13 and have a minimum of four consecutive years in the Kewaunee County 4-H Horse & Pony Project (regular members or horseless horse members are eligible) are eligible to apply for this $250.00 scholarship. The deadline to turn in this scholarship application is August 2, 2024.


Kewaunee County Dairy Project Scholarship

This scholarship opportunity is open to all Kewaunee County 4-H Dairy Project members in grades 12 and 13. The deadline to turn in this application is June 3, 2024


Greenstone Farm Credit Services Scholarship

Application Deadline: March 1, 2024

Dave Armstrong Scholarship program: Current College Students: Former President and CEO, Dave Armstrong, served Greenstone and the agricultural community for 41 years before retiring in 2022. Like Greenstone, Dave values youth development and continued education, supporting the future success of agriculture. In honor of Dave, Greenstone Farm Credit Services will award up to $20,000 in scholarships to current college freshmen, sophomore, or junior students in the amount of $5,000 each.

Greenstone Scholarship program: Incoming College Freshmen: Greenstone will award up to $40,000 in scholarships to incoming college freshmen in the amount of $2,000 each to selected students attending a four-year college program and $1,000 each to selected students attending a two-year college program.


Purina Animal Nutrition Scholarship

If caring for animals is a passion that runs deep within you, we want to be a part of supporting your future.

We’ve created the Purina Animal Nutrition Scholarship for the next-gen of animal caretakers. High school seniors and current undergrads with livestock, equine or poultry experience can apply for a chance to be rewarded for their unwavering commitment and tireless work.

To be considered for the scholarship, complete the application and share with us a valuable life lesson you’ve learned from your time caring for farm animals (livestock, poultry and/or horses).

Applications will open March 18. Deadline to register is April 17.
