ACDI / VOCA
ACDI/VOCA is a private, nonprofit organization that promotes broad-based economic growth and the development of civil society. Their volunteers are typically mid-career professionals with significant experience who provide the kind of expertise found in the world’s most successful economy. More and more, volunteers are an integral component of long-term programming and complement macro-level initiatives. Many are part of teams or conduct repeat assignments.

Association for International Agricultural and Extension Education
The Association for International Agricultural and Extension Education (AIAEE) was established in 1984 to provide a professional association to network agricultural educators and Extension personnel who share the common goal of strengthening agricultural and Extension education programs and institutions worldwide.  The group sponsors scholarly research and an annual professional conference.

Cross-Cultural Solutions
This not-for-profit international volunteer organization operates volunteer programs in Brazil, China, Costa Rica, Ghana, Guatemala, India, Peru, Russia, Tanzania, and Thailand. Clearly, they look for people to finance their own volunteer programs with a compelling rational for suggesting it. Their programs offer a unique opportunity for participants to work side-by-side with local people, on locally designed and driven projects. They are designed to facilitate hands-on service and cultural exchange in the aim of fostering cultural understanding.

Geekcorps
A unique US-based, non-profit organization, places international technical volunteers in developing nations. We contribute to local IT projects while transferring the technical skills needed to keep projects moving after our volunteers have returned home.

International 4H Youth Exchange
This website provides information about participating as a volunteer participant or leader in some of the range of international programs through the national 4H Youth Development programs.

International Volunteer Program Association
This organization and its website offers the most comprehensive array of information on opportunities and programs. They are one of the few groups that offer advice to would be travelers on what to look for when signing on for volunteer opportunities.

Land of Lakes Cooperative
This website provides information on the volunteer and paid international outreach opportunities through Land of Lakes, the national, farmer-owned food and agricultural cooperative, with sales in all 50 states
and more than 50 countries. It employs more than 6,500 people and operates more than 200 processing, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution facilities across the United States and has net sales exceeding $6.3 billion. They are committed to international development and have short and long term opportunities listed.

Partners of the Americas Farmer-to-Farmer (FTF) Program
Partners of the Americas believes that working together across borders builds understanding and improves the lives of people in the Western Hemisphere. We create opportunities that inspire hope for all and celebrate the richness of our diversity.

Winrock International
Provides information on the overseas volunteer work of Winrock International. They use innovative approaches in agriculture, environmental protection, renewable energy, leadership development, and policy to increase long-term productivity, equity, and responsible resource management. They seek qualified U.S. volunteers assist farmers, businesses, and organizations by sharing their knowledge and expertise.

Wisconsin-Nicaragua Partners
UWEX staff have volunteered for and led numerous programs in conjunction with this international partnership. Wisconsin pairs up with Nicaragua in a network of programming and community partnerships. Volunteer trips, local volunteer activities, and linkages provide an excellent opportunity.
