Contributions to the Business Community

Omro Pharmacy filled up to 40 prescriptions per day prior to Bresser taking ownership on Jan. 1, 2000.  Today, they fill ten times more prescriptions per day and have added more than fifteen employees.  “It’s tough competing with Oshkosh, but Omro has the typical small town service businesses that are doing well,” says Bresser.  A marketing company in Oshkosh has designed a webpage for the pharmacy and they are looking to add apps for automated prescription refills.

Between August and September 2014, Omro Pharmacy repurposed an old Hardee’s building and moved in adding a retro soda fountain, popcorn popper, and premium ice cream from The Chocolate Shoppe.    The owner, Ken Bresser, desired a family friendly atmosphere that would draw people not just to the store, but to the surrounding area.  Dana Racine, Director of Omro’s Chamber/Main Street organization, Future Omro, and her staff helped to promote the pharmacy’s Grand Re-Opening and provided grants for the façade and signage.  Ken serves on the board of Future Omro and hopes to see the program get behind a big project such as an amphitheater, drive-in theater, band stand, or hot air balloon attraction to help promote Omro.
