Chris and Juli McGuire grow approximately 5 acres of fruits and vegetables, primarily for their 400+ member CSA. They are exploring some no-till techniques on their intensive farm, including a SARE research trial on using tarps to terminate a rye/vetch cover crop mix before transplanted vegetables and using permanent no-till beds mulched with compost for direct seeded and transplanted crops.
