Inhalation Exposure to Chemicals

Inhalation exposure (breathing in) is the most hazardous type of chemical exposure because inhaled chemical mists, vapors, gases, smoke, or dust are absorbed rapidly into your bloodstream or cause injury to the tissues of your lungs, and or loss consciousness.  In the video “Inhalation Exposure to Chemicals (English & Spanish)”, UW-Extension Jackson County Agriculture Agent Trisha Wagner describes the various ways an individuals are exposed to agriculture chemicals via inhalation, how to protect yourself from inhalation exposure, and what to do in the event one has been exposed to chemicals.  Other videos in the Agricultural Chemical Safety Series include:
