Background Information:  Technical Colleges are usually two-year public colleges that offer many programs and classes to prepare students for high-tech careers and get them started on their bachelor’s degrees. Technical college instructors, especially in agriculture, teach many different types of classes. Instructors are also in charge of running any learning facilities their subject involves and evaluating students that may have internships or be employed at these facilities.

Experience/Education Needed:  Depending on the position you may need a master’s degree in the relevant subject matter you want to teach, but in most cases a bachelor’s degree is enough. It is also important to take classes, even as a professor, to keep up with the ever-changing agriculture industry.

Average Salary Range: The average salary range for a college professor can range from $50,000 to $130,000. This will depend on where you teach, how much education you have, and how long you have been there. There are a lot of opportunities for benefits, promotions, and pay increases.
