Cloverbud Fair Judge Application
Youth 8th grade and up can apply to be a Cloverbud judge at the fair on Tuesday, July 24. Grades are determined by 4-H grade or the 2017-18 calendar year. Younger youth who are interested can serve as an assistant. Applications are due June 29, 2018 to the Extension office. There will be a required orientation/scheduling session at the Rock County Courthouse on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. for ALL judges and assistants, new and seasoned.
4-H Summer Camp Forms
Rock County 4-H Cabin Camp and Outpost Camp will be held Sunday, August 12 to Wednesday, August 15. Cabin Camp is for campers in 3rd – 6th grades (ALL 6th grade campers will go to Cabin Camp) and each 4-H camper may bring one non 4-H friend! Outpost Camp is for 7th AND 8th grade campers. All grades are as of spring 2018 or as of the time of registration.
4-H Summer Camp Counselor Application – CAMP COUNSELORS STILL NEEDED!
Any 4-H member in 9th grade or up as of 1/1/18 who enjoys camp, likes to work with younger members, AND is willing to make 4-H Camp Staff a priority is encouraged to apply for the Rock County 4-H Camp Staff Team! This year 4-H camp is from Sunday, August 12 to Wednesday, August 15. Please fill out an application and return it to the UWEX Office if you’re interested.
The Rock County 4-H Alumni Association is offering $500-$1,000 scholarships to Rock County 4-H and FFA members who currently are high-school seniors or in the first year of post-secondary education. Previous scholarship winners are not eligible. Applications are due February 12, 2018.
Rock County Agriculture is offering scholarships through community partners such as Pork Producers, Beef Producers, Dairy Promotion, and Sheep Producers. Applications must be postmarked by March 1, 2018.
4-H members (for at least one year) who are enrolled or plan to enroll at a university, college or technical school during the 2018-2019 academic year are eligible to apply for a scholarship from the Wisconsin 4-H Foundation. There are several scholarships available ranging from $500 to $1000. March 15, 2018 is the deadline to apply. Please see this link for details: Wis 4-H Foundation Scholarship Application Information.
High school seniors who will be a first year college student in 2018-2019, including those in two-year programs, or students who will be third or fourth-year college students in 2018-2019 may apply for a scholarship from the Wisconsin State Fair Dairy Promotion. Previous recipients are not eligible to apply. Must have some kind of involvement/leadership in the dairy industry. There are several $1000 scholarships available. Applications must be received electronically by March 23, 2018. 2018 Wisconsin State Fair Dairy Promotion Scholarship (fillable Word)
Any Rock County graduate who is interested in going into a Community Service Field (Education, Extension, Nursing, Police Science, Fire Safety, Social Work etc.) is eligible to apply for the Rock County Association for Home and Community Education scholarship. Applications are due March 31, 2018.
