Welcome to the Wisconsin School Breakfast Program blog.
This blog is the result of a partnership between the University of Wisconsin-Extension, Family Living Programs and the Department of Public Instruction, School Nutrition Team.
Beginning in 2004, these two organizations began a very exciting collaboration to increase the number of Wisconsin schools that offer school breakfast programs and to increase the number of students who participate in School Breakfast Programs.
As a result of this partnership, the hard work from schools and federal funding, Wisconsin has made great strides in participation increases in the School Breakfast Program. Not only have more schools across the state implemented a breakfast program, but the number of students participating in the program has also increased.
The University of Wisconsin-Extension and the Department of Public Instruction are committed to providing support, research-based information, and resources to enhance school breakfast programs and to increase student participation across the state.
Whether you are an Extension educator, a school nutrition professional or other school staff, you will find information and resources in this website to enhance the breakfast program at your school.
