Wisconsin Operation:  Military Kids builds partnerships to increase capacity for youth, families, and communities to support youth of Guard, Reserve, and Active Duty families.

Operation: Military Kids (OMK) is a nationwide initiative designated to provide support to the children and youth of families that are impacted by the Global War on Terrorism. This includes those served by Army installations, Air Force bases, and those children and youth who are geographically dispersed.

Building upon their ten year collaboration to support youth development programs, 4-H and its military partners are now placing special emphasis on the children and youth of National Guard and Reserve Soldiers.

November: Month of the Military Family

The guidance counselor at Doudna Elementary School in Richland Center, Wisconsin invited students and staff to bring photos of family member who are service members/veterans.  The photos were scanned and are displayed on the wall as you enter the school.   The Veteran’s Ribbon is located on one of the walls in the school’s gym.

Here is How You Can DONATE to OMK!   Donation Info

Fall River is a 4K-12th Grade School located in Fall River, Wisconsin.  This year they had an all-school assembly for Veterans Day.  The tree you see in the picture was located just outside the school’s gym doors where everyone entered for the Veterans Day Assembly.  The POW table was set up in the gym.  It is pretty much what you would see at a formal military event.
