Help us in thanking Indian Trails Campground for their generous donations to Wisconsin Military Kids!
The 4-H Military Kids Program has received generous donations from Indian Trails Campground over the past four years. These donations are used to fund camps and other activities that allow youth in military families to connect with other military kids.
Indian Trails Campground wanted to donate to a military organization because they have customers who are part of the military. They wanted to give back to them for everything that they do and do something special for the military kids. Dave & Myrna Schneider, owners, and Matt & Tiffany Pargman, managers, did some research on the internet for an organization that did just that. They found the 4-H Military Kids Program and decided it was a great organization to give a donation to. They greatly expressed that they want to give back to military personal and their families because they sacrifice so much. Indian Trails Campground has various fundraisers throughout the year including a basket social, and a silent auction that receives donations.
Indian Trails Campground has been in business for fifty years. They were the first Wisconsin campground to join the organization tentsfortroops.org.They use two of their camp sites for military families to camp at no cost. They also give free coupons to the children to enjoy all the fun things Indian Trails Campground has to offer.
Indian Trails Campground wants all kids to unplug from electronics and enjoy what the outdoors has to offer. Activities that are available are hiking, biking, canoeing, fishing, kayaking and much more. Families can spend quality time together camping and enjoying the outdoors. The campground has themed weekends with events and activities for the kids. They also have an indoor pool so that families can extend their camping season into early spring and late fall. Hero Pack Recognition at Doudna Elementary School
The guidance counselor at Doudna Elementary School in Richland Center, Wisconsin gave out our hero packs to two students. A quote from one of the son’s fathers showed how much he appreciated this for his son, “Thank you very much for giving my son the bag he received on Veteran’s Day at Doudna Elementary School. He misses me very much, but we hope to be home for the holidays.”
Here is How You Can DONATE to OMK! Donation Info
A great big thank you to the Wisconsin Association of Legal Administrators for the $1000 donation to Wisconsin Operation Military Kids.
Working together we can have a strong impact
on military families in our own backyard.
