January 18, 2017 – “Ethics and Open Government Laws for Planning Body Members” – UW-Extension Local Government Center Local Land Use, Planning and Zoning teleconference series. 10:30 am – 12:00 noon. Cost:  $20.00. Members of plan commissions, zoning boards of appeal or other planning bodies are subject to Wisconsin’s ethics and open government laws regardless of whether the member is appointed or elected. It is vital that planning body members and their support personnel be familiar with these laws to help preserve the integrity of their decision making processes, as well as avoid any adverse effects of violating the law.
