August 12th: The Best Tests in Life are Always Free

Summary:

Dry heat moving into a summer storm is how the week’s weather came in.  This caused immense growth for crops pushing some into harvest.  This isn’t the only thing that grew with the warm summer Wisconsin has been having, the pests are taking advantage of this too.  Japanese beetles, Brown Marmorated Stink Bugs, and Spotted Wing Drosophila have all grown more in this month than they have in years past.  Join us this week as Brian Hudelson the Plant Disease Diagnostic Clinic’s Extension agent discusses some plant pathogens to keep an eye out for in the coming years, as well as why the best things in life are free.
