Waushara Alliance for Drug Endangered Children Town Hall Meetings to Focus on Heroin Sale and Use in Waushara County

The Waushara Alliance for Drug Endangered Children has mobilized to raise the awareness concerning the increased epidemic sale and use of heroin inWausharaCounty.  We can no longer stand idly by with our “head in the sand” and tell ourselves this only happens in large cities and to other people.  Heroin sale and usage by your neighbors, friends, family, children and other persons that live or visit Waushara County DOES impact each and everyone of us.

The Waushara Alliance for Drug Endangered Children will be holding Heroin Awareness educational “Town Hall” meetings throughout Waushara County in the next few weeks.  All citizens that want to assist in learning more about the problem and what they can do to help eradicate the problem in Waushara County are invited to attend a session in their area.  In order for law enforcement, human services, public health and community leaders to successfully provide healthy and safe communities they need the support of every good and caring citizen.

All meetings will be held at 6:30 PM on the following dates and locations:

  • May 3, 2012            Redgranite Village Hall
  • May 9, 2012            Wautoma Area Fire Dept.
  • May 16, 2012         ColomaCommunity Center
  • May 24, 2012          Wild Rose Fire Dept.
  • May 30, 2012         PlainfieldCommunity Center
  • June 6, 2012           Poy Sippi Fire Dept.

To schedule additional awareness presentations for a service club, group or organization contact Director Johnson or Sheriff Peterson.

Heroin has become a menace across the State of Wisconsin, causing an increase in overdose deaths, emergency room visits and home invasion burglaries to support the user’s addiction.  The Waushara County Alliance for Drug Endangered Children is committed to helping those that want to “beat” their addiction, but they are just as committed to arrest and prosecute those persons involved with this criminal activity.

With the support of WausharaCountycitizens we can send a clear signal that we will not tolerate heroin and its users to negatively impact our quality of life.  Get better or get out!! Attend one of the Heroin Awareness sessions.  Invite your friends and neighbors to come along.
