Green Chemistry Webinars Begin Feb. 21

The National Pollution Prevention Roundtable’s (NPPR) Safer Chemistry Challenge Program first webinar is scheduled for Tuesday, February 21 at 1 pm CST. This webinar “Transitioning to Greener Chemicals and the Benefits” is a case study highlighting the efforts of two companies, Cintas and Washing Systems, to move toward safer chemistries .

Cintas-Washington State implemented a program to eliminate 25,000 gallons of detergent that contained nonylphenol ethoxylates (NPEs) in the laundry process.James Wagoner with Cintas will be discussing the process Cintas used to transition to greener chemistries and the benefits.

Roy Praechter and Jim Gifford with Washing Systems, Inc. will be discussing the development of greener wash chemicals. Cintas won a 2012 MVP2 Award for their work on chemical reduction and cost cutting.
