The salvation army gives out food referals for individuals to then go to the food pantry to receive food assistance. Check out this video for more information.

Racine Urban Garden Network (RUGN) provides assistance in starting an ubran garden and also has a community garden on Marquette Street. Through growing food, RUGN engages high school students, provides space for family gardens, and builds community. Website: http://www.rugn.org/
