We’re putting the finishing touches on a video about season extenders. Here’s the synopsis: To accommodate Wisconsin’s shorter growing season, community gardens can use various tools and techniques to maximize their garden’s productivity, including floating row covers, cold frames, and proper seed selection. In response to the growing popularity of community gardens, the University of Wisconsin-Extension People + Plants project is producing a multimedia series on how to build, maintain, and make the most of community gardens. By the summer of 2011, the project will have produced 12 fact sheets, 6 videos, and 6 podcasts.
