		<description><![CDATA[The Wisconsin 4-H Quiz Bowl and Skillathon contests were both held on Saturday, March 3 at University of Wisconsin Madison Animal Sciences Building.   Livestock Bowl is a quiz competition where all the questions are about beef, sheep, swine and meat goat topics and students use a buzzer in order to answer the questions.  Teams compete in a double elimination format by giving oral answers to questions posed by a judge.  Each match has both an individual and toss-up question round. A group discussion round is included in the senior division to simulate the national competition.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[A Wisconsin 4-H member has been selected to serve on the 2012 National 4-H Conference youth leadership team. Kelsey Kannenberg, a high school senior and member of the St. Lawrence Eager Beavers 4-H Club in Washington County, is one of six youth chosen to organize the conference, host meetings, provide training and lead group activities. National 4-H Conference will be held in Washington, D.C. March 24-29, 2012.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[It’s unanimous! Wisconsin’s 132 state legislators passed a joint resolution Tuesday in the senate and assembly to honor Cooperative Extension’s 100th anniversary. 

Assembly Joint Resolution 110, authored by Rep. Joan Ballweg (R, AD 41) and co-authored by Senator Scott Fitzgerald (R, SD 13) was passed unanimously by the Assembly and Senate. The joint resolution states, “Whereas, this centennial will be commemorated at public events held throughout the year and around the state; now, therefore, be it AJR110,2,13resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, that the legislature congratulates Cooperative Extension on the occasion of its centennial.”]]></description>

Team members were Jessica Taylor, Hannah Taylor, Amanda Wendt and Emily Seib.  They were coached by Todd Taylor and Jessica Palmer.  These 4-H members will represent Wisconsin at the National 4-H Meats Judging Contest to be held this fall in Kansas City.]]></description>

The team will represent Wisconsin in November at the national contest in Louisville, KY.
