Produce Food Safety Workshops to be held in March

With new federal food safety regulations in effect, vegetable farmers are increasingly turning their attention to developing sound, practical food safety plans for their farms. To address farmers’ interest in learning about workable and effective food safety solutions, University of Wisconsin-Extension, in partnership with Family Farmed, is hosting workshops in Viroqua on March 15 and Stevens Point on March 18, to help growers create individualized food safety plans and navigate the new federal regulations mandated by the Food Safety Modernization Act.
