Thinking about financial planning for retirement? Making a major investment in a new home? Or maybe you want to learn more about sticking to a budget or how your credit score can affect you.

You can get answers to these questions and many more during Money Smart Week, April 5-12.

Every year, businesses, financial institutions, schools, libraries, not-for-profits, government agencies and the media come together to stress the importance of financial literacy during Money Smart Week. Since 2001, organizations have partnered with the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago to present educational seminars and activities at various locations across the country.

In Wisconsin, many University of Wisconsin-Extension offices take part in Money Smart Week activities. Find Money Smart Week events in your area  or contact your local county UW-Extension office.

Can’t attend an event in person? Money Smart is also hosting numerous online programs on a variety of topics. Check out the complete listing of online offerings.
