University of Wisconsin-Extension Brown and Calumet Counties will host Grain Production Clinics on Feb. 17 at two locations.
Topics and presenters for both locations are:
– How do fungicides and inoculants impact soybean production and profitability. Shawn Conley, UW-Extension soybean specialist.
– Glyphosate resistance issues for Wisconsin. Vince Davis, UW-Extension corn agronomy specialist.
– The seven realities of corn production for Wisconsin producers. Joe Lauer, UW-Extension corn agronomy specialist.
– Current commodity supplies and market conditions. James Cronin, Advance Trading Grain Marketing Specialist/Broker
– No-till and strip-till in heavier soils. Panelists: Dan Stokes, Winnebago County crop producer; Dave Allen, Winnebago County crop producer; Nick Schneider, UW-Extension Winnebago County agriculture agent.
– Cover crops and tillage radish experiences and plans. Panelists: John Simon, producer and Partners in Production (PIP) LLC rep.; Anton Kaltenberg, Partners in Production (PIP) LLC rep.; Brent Peterson, Brown County Land and Water (at Green Bay clinic); Bruce Riesterer, Manitowoc County and Water and Doug Kapral, Kapral Agronomy (at Brillion clinic.)
Both clinics will be held on Friday, Feb. 17 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. with registration beginning at 9:30 a.m. Locations for each clinic are:
– Calumet County: Cobblestone Creek, Brillion
– Brown County: Rock Garden Supper Club, Green Bay
