Many people can recall a special children’s book that sparked a lifelong interest in reading and learning. Yet children from families with limited incomes may not have the opportunity to own many books. The Wisconsin Association for Home and Community Education (WAHCE), Family Living Programs, and Wisconsin Public Television cooperated to bring the Wisconsin Bookworms™ program to more than 45 counties and nearly 6,000 children in 2009.
