Healthy Families & Communities

University of Wisconsin Cooperative Extension educators are dedicated to helping individuals, families and communities create health.  We do this by providing research-based programs that help you make healthy choices, sort fact from fad, and promote a lifetime of good health.   Programs cover a broad spectrum, from childhood nutrition and physical activity to heart-healthy eating and food safety.

We help you navigate the health care system more effectively.  For example, we have programs and materials to help you learn about what’s happening with health insurance changes and how to communicate with your health care provider.  And we help you and your communities work toward creating environments that allow all to have fair access to healthy choices and health care.  Topics are listed by pages to the left.
