Bob is being recognized as the February Volunteer of the Month. Bob has been an active volunteer for the past five years with the Happy Clovers 4-H Club where his three children are members. Bob will be stepping up and taking over the club later this year. “I was a 4-Her for a long time and it was a worthwhile experience,” Bob said. “I like to work with the kids and see how they go through 4-H over the years.” He said there are a lot of young kids and pre-teens in the club right now, but they are just a few years away from having a club with a really experienced group of kids. Bob said, “We really want to keep the kids interested and active.” He mentioned that in the past livestock used to be the main area of 4-H. As he stated, his children are involved in some livestock activities, but have branched out to non-agriculture areas as well. Bob said this is a real plus for all kids because it gives them a lot of different experiences and opportunities and also keeps their interests varied. Congratulations Bob and thank you for all your hard work!
