Wisconsin State Fair Canning Competition!!!

Do you have some mouthwatering recipes for canning up some tasty pickles, sweet & delish jellies, spicy salsas or scrumptious BBQ sauces??? Or do you know someone that does?

If so, then you SHOULD enter your value-added canned food item into the FIRST Statewide annual canned food competition called the Jammin’ Jamboree, which will be held at the Wisconsin State Fair on Aug. 7th – open to Wisconsin’s small professional food businesses with yearly sales under $250,000.

  • Spreads, jam
  • Spreads, jelly
  • Pickles, dill (including flavored i.e. garlic, jalapeno, etc.)
  • Pickles, sweet
  • Pickled vegetables
  • Barbeque sauce
  • Salsa

Not only will you get statewide recognition for your canned food product if your recipe can earn you a ribbon at the fair: first through fourth place winners for each category will take home CASH PRICES!

There is a limited number of open slots – so get your entry form sent in soon!

Entry deadline: June 24, 2014. Mailed entries must be postmarked June 24, 2014.
