Aracely Portillo, Nutrition Educator, partnered with Falk Elementary School to provide our Eating Smart Being Active curriculum to parents. On January 22, 2015, she graduated five families from the program! Following her lesson series, one participant commented that before taking the classes her kids drank 1 and 1/2 gallon of milk per day. She learned that this habit was not healthy. She now provides them with more balanced meals and has started to give them water more often instead of milk. Another parent mentioned that she did not like cooked vegetables. After cooking a stir fry cabbage recipe during class, she has started to cook and eat more vegetables at home. Congratulations ESBA graduates!
