The Wisconsin Food Security Project interactive data and mapping portal that has been updated and improved.
Developed in collaboration with the Applied Population Lab, the website provides a wide range of Wisconsin data related to food security, food assistance programs, income, poverty, health, food-related resources, and more — with a user-friendly and highly customizable interface. Users can create and save maps, charts, and local profiles, with information from the state to the local level. A few examples:
- Create and save color-coded maps showing how the poverty rate varies across or within counties; add resources such as food pantries or summer meal programs for kids;
- Create charts showing how the rate of FoodShare participation has changed in your county and the state over the past 15 years;
- Create profiles comparing the characteristics of several school districts in your county;
- And lots more!
