Grazing Meetings March 9 & 10, 2012

We will be holding two meetings inCentral Wisconsinon March 9 and March 10. The meeting on March 9 will be held at the Lemonweir Valley Telephone Company office,127 US Highway12/16, Camp Douglas WI and the meeting on March 10 will be held at theJensonCommunity Center,487 N. Main St.,AmherstWI. Registration with coffee and rolls will be at 8:30 AM with the meeting being held from 9 AM to 3.PM. at each location. 

 Registration which will include morning coffee and rolls and noon lunch will be $15 for each meeting. Pre-registration by March 2 is needed for meal planning. Central Wisconsin Dairy Series

The Central Wisconsin Agriculture Specialization Team is sponsoring dairy meetings throughout Central Wisconsin.  The dates and locations for meetings are: 

  • Tuesday February 21 at the Elroy American Legion Hall, 402 E Franklin Street;
  • Wednesday February 29 at the Junction City Community Hall (Highway 10, Fire Station)
  • Tuesday March 6 at the Plover Elizabeth Inn, 5246 Harding Avenue (Hwy. 54 and I39 Interchange). 

The program runs from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.  Topics include:  Dairy Marketing 101; Maximizing Cow Comfort; Cull Cows or Cull Heifers? and TMR Management Practices.
