Water Tanks and Water Connectors

Water in the six tanks at the community gardens is used to water the gardens. Do not wash your hands in the tank.  Do not let children play in the water tanks.  To wash hands, tools, or veggies, draw water out with a bucket and wash outside of the tank.

In addition, please realize that the water connections are vulnerable to damage if care is not taken when connecting and unconnecting hoses to water connectors on tanks (the ‘tees”). Be sure the connectors and tees are left as they were found. Be sure all connections are tight (hose) when you leave the garden.  If there is a leak, try to fix it by tightening the hose connection.  If the leak continues, contact our office.
