National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day: 4/26

Medicine Collection Day @ Mitchell Park Domes

(Milwaukee, WI) – Safely and anonymously dispose unused medicine at Mitchell Park Domes on April 26th and keep it out of Lake Michigan and from people who abuse prescription drugs.  It’s all part of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day.  Medicine Collection efforts have removed more than 21 tons of unused medicine in Milwaukee County since 2006.  The Milwaukee Police Department is providing officers for the event.

Never flush or pour unused medicines down the drain.  Water reclamation facilities are not designed to remove everything and the drugs can end up getting into Lake Michigan.
