This year’s summer trip will take us to the LaCrosse area on Friday, June 16. We will leave Friendship at 7:45 a.m. and make our way to the city of LaCrosse to tour the Pleasoning® Gourmet Seasoning Manufacturing Plant and Outlet store. Our tour will begin at 9:45 a.m. This is considered a “shopping tour” where visitors will have an opportunity to taste the many different seasonings manufactured at the plant. Because Federal requirements restrict entrance into the plant area a “virtual tour” of the manufacturing plant will be provided. A 10% discount is offered to shoppers.
From there we’ll head to Grandad Bluff Park. The bluff is the largest in the LaCrosse area and is well known for its scenic overlook of LaCrosse. Bring your camera for pictures from the overlook area. Restrooms are available at the park.
Plan to pack a picnic lunch to be enjoyed at Myrick Park. This park was recommended by the LaCrosse Parks staff and is only three miles from the Bluff. After enjoying lunch and fellowship, our tour takes us to the boat dock where we will enjoy a cruise on the Mississippi River on an authentic paddle wheeler of the LaCrosse Queen Cruises. Our one and a half hour cruise begins at 1:30 p.m. ending at 3 p.m. when we make our way back to Adams County.
The cost for the tour is $22. You may register online by filling out this form at HCE Summer Trip
